About Me
I have worked in the advertising industry for more than 20 years. Over the course of my career, I have served as a creative director, associate creative director, senior copywriter, and creative team leader at some of the region’s largest agencies, including Archer (Memphis), Stone Ward (Little Rock), MHP/TeamSI (Little Rock), and Sullivan (Memphis). As a freelancer, I have assisted agencies from London (M&C Saatchi) to Honolulu (FINN, MVNP), as well as local clients and agencies.
Originally from Virginia, I moved to Arkansas as a child. I returned to my home state for college and graduated from Washington and Lee University. I began my career at a mortgage company, while also writing music reviews for a local newspaper and co-hosting a weekly radio show. After a brief stint in law school at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, I pivoted to pursue a career in advertising.
Some of my accomplishments include helping transform a challenger CPG brand into a category leader with $1 billion in annual sales and 500 million units sold, developing a breakthrough campaign for a casino that doubled its annual revenue, and leading the rebranding of the nation’s largest rural internet service provider—doubling subscriptions. My work has earned hundreds of local, regional, national, and international honors for creative excellence, including numerous National ADDYs, Clio's Ads of the World, Print, and CA Online.
A complete list of my experience can be found on my LinkedIn profile, though I left out the stuff about being a busboy, mortgage banker, and pioneering rap DJ.
